Hi Triple fans,
Here is the culmination of over 16 years of building and rebuilding my 1973 H2 750. I call this Burnt Orange Pearl bike my "UCR" (Ultimate Cafe Racer). You see it in it's 4th and current reincarnation.
It's shown here at San Diego's Coronado Island Navy Base's "SRT Speed Challenge" Vintage Auto & Motorcycle Show. My H2 was invited by the San Diego Antique Motorcycle Club for display over the 2 day show.
This bike has also been invited to the San Diego Auto Museum's "Motorcycle's in the Park" Annual show every year since I started building it in the mid 90's.
I've had this vision, since I road raced 500 & 750 triples during the late 70's and early 80's, of a highly modified H2 that would handle any road I threw it at, and any horsepower motor I chose to build.
Here are some of the specifications;
The "Stage II" Engine I built was Ported to Denco 90HP "Viper" Spec Engine Package, and is equipped with Velocity Stacks, Stinger Chambers (that were Thermal Coated the new "Titanium" finish) and Aluminum Silencers.
This machine was intentionally built with a Full, "Old School", Roadrace Chassis; Wide, 18", TZ750 EPM Magnesium Wheels & Rotor Carriers, TZ250 Cast Iron Rear Rotor, 4 Piston Brembo Calipers (Fr) & Two Piston GPZ550 Caliper (Rr), Custom Fabricated Axles, Spacers and Swing Am Pivot Bolt (to adapt everything to the H2 chassis), by Mule Motorcycles, Poway, Ca..
Plus,
FJ1200 Alloy/Adjustable, 43mm, Anti-Dive Forks (upper alloy clamp was modified to accept the H2 Gauge Bracket.),
GPZ750 Turbo Boxed Aluminum Swing Arm (Needle Bearing Swing Arm Pivot & Eccentric Chain Adjusters),
Frame Bracing (as per Rob North Fabrications, National City, Ca.),
Works Performance Shocks,
Custom Fiberglass Solo Seat ("CAMBER CO., like Airtech, from the 70's),
KR750 Fuel Tank (AIRTECH),
GS1100E 11" Dia, Halogen Headlight Assembly.
This H2 was recently painted with Dupont "HOT HUES" Urathane Paint, with Custom Cut 1973 H2 Graphics.
MANY Chassis Fabrications were performed by Richard Pollock, MULE Motorcycles, Poway, Ca.
The Expansion Chamber's Professional GP Style, Spring Loaded Rear Mount Brackets were built by Rob North Fabrications, National City, Ca.
This Triple also wheelied up on "The Step" and grabbed a Trophy in the "Street Special's" Class, at the Prestigious Del Mar Concours D'elegance in Southern California.
